Ting Ling (spelled "Tingling" in Interesting Times) is an island outpost of the Agatean Empire, rimward of the Counterweight Continent. It is known mainly for being a very long way from Ankh-Morpork. When the new deacon at the Temple of Small Gods wanted to exhume the martyrs of the Glorious Revolution, Lord Vetinari persuaded him to go and do missionary work there. Given the Agatean attitude to foreign intruders this sounds unlikely, but apparently he went somewhere.
