Two Fire Herb is an agent of Lord Hong, who spies on the Red Army in Interesting Times by pretending to be a member. His goal is to frame the Red Army for the Emperor's assassination, since:
- Lord Hong is forbidden (by the Rules Of War) from harming the Emperor, directly or otherwise
- The threat of internal insurrection will allow Lord Hong to seize a tremendous amount of power
He fails in this goal, and Lord Hong has him killed towards the end of Interesting Times. While he did get Lord Hong to promise not to say or write any order that would lead to his death, he failed to mention origami. Lord Hong proceeded to construct a paper figure of a man without a head, and ordered the guard to take him away.
