Hmmm. This title seems to defy categorisation. It's not a location, as presently stated: it's only a concept of The Author's unrelated to any action in the text. It's a Place (imaginary, at that), but it might be alone in that category; any ideas? --Old Dickens (talk) 18:22, 2 January 2013 (PST)

Concepts, possibly? Although it's not technically a Discworld concept so that one doesn't really fit either... "Roundworld concepts"? TC01 (talk) 09:44, 4 January 2013 (PST)
I hadn't noticed this before. Funny since I am currently sitting in Peoria, Illinois. --Osiris (talk) 10:29, 4 January 2013 (PST)
Funny, that's (roughly) where I thought you were until the new wiki time turned out to be PST and I thought you'd moved or fooled me. Why is the wiki in San Jose, then?
The server is hosted in EST, I sit in CST but the image that the server is based upon was built by a company based in San Jose in PST. Honestly, I hadn't thought about changing the timezone on the wiki. What'd we have it before? GMT? --Osiris (talk) 14:27, 4 January 2013 (PST)
It used to be GMT, then Sanity changed to Gouda time at a recent upgrade. He didn't have your alternatives, I guess. I keep mine on GMT. San Jose was a good guess! --Old Dickens (talk) 15:16, 4 January 2013 (PST)
Ok it's back to GMT --Osiris (talk) 05:33, 5 January 2013 (GMT)

Here we go: Category:Annotations. --Old Dickens (talk) 10:56, 4 January 2013 (PST)

On Discworld?

Power Cable seems an unlikely term on a world without electricity. --Old Dickens (talk) 14:42, 31 May 2016 (UTC) Without electricity as we know it... maybe an Igor's lightning conductor inspired the name for a settlement... or else an Uberwaldean/Borogravian name (Poerkabel?) Strill working on the "Nebraska" part, though!AgProv (talk) 21:12, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

Overview

There are two interpretations here: the small city or suburb in the US "flyover", somewhat remote and susceptible to advertising agencies on the northeast and southwest coasts (originally my concept), or the really insignificant Scrotesque backwater suggested by AgProv. I'm not that confident in mine any more. --Old Dickens (talk) 04:11, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
