Talk:Nutt
Errrr... The reference to him smoking a cigar after his hypnotherapy has nothing to do with Warcraft... Try Freud. Though sometimes a cigar is just a cigar I suppose.
I always assumed that major elements ofMr Nutt was a taken from the X-Men's Wolverine. The strength, the way he was originally created as weapon, the lack of memory about his past, the growing of claws near the end of the book and, of course, the cigar smoking. --Sonniesedge 22:07, 13 January 2012 (CET)
Name
You know, I always bothered with the name. Especially for two things: Sir Terry knows a pretty decent deal of german, and one of the 'running gags' is the continously correcting on that the name isn't 'nuts' etc. Being from Uberwald and all...a name with that spelling...well, let me put it like this: 'S' is not the letter he should be worrying about....--LilMaibe 23:06, 7 May 2012 (CEST)
Just seen the blinding bleeding obvious. Mr Nutt. Recast the name as Missed A Nut. A screw loose, a connection not properly tightened, a missing component... they do say Terry P incorporated some blindingly obvious jokes hidden out in the open where everyone could miss them because they're so intent on looking for the deeper stuff... spoilers
That moment when he opens the book! Okay, unscrupulous reviewers etc. will preveal. But we, here, shouldn't spoil that moment for readers especially as it is the core event embodying the theme of the leopard and the shorts. Request removal of species identification in this article about this member of the most reviled species in the universe.
- Sorry, but the wiki is full of spoilers and it's hard to imagine an article that doesn't mention the character's species. Years ago there was a header pointing out that articles might contain nuts and spoilers but that's been lost in transition or upgrade along with a lot of other bits. (Many book pages include whole plot summaries.) --Old Dickens (talk) 15:30, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
