Talk:Herrena the Henna-Haired Harridan
Hadn't Herrena become a barmaid somewhere by Last Hero? I can't remember and the book's downstairs. Now that shouldn't really be a problem, but I'm fairly lazy. --Knmatt 19:02, 4 June 2007 (CEST)
Having finally dragged my butt down, I couldn't find the blasted quote. Perhaps it was in Interesting Times? It's the bit where the Silver Horde are trying to convince Cohen that they're the only ones left. Hrun had become a watchman or a guard - for money! - and everybody else was dead or otherwise employed. Somebody kindly let me know. I couldn't find it in either book. --Knmatt 23:05, 4 June 2007 (CEST)
The reference occurs towards the end of Interesting Times, when Cohen and the Horde are just about to enter Hunghung and have blasted the gates open by sheer force of personality and what for them is reasonable persuasion. As the Horde walk in, Cohen is updated on the fates and destinies of fellow Barbarian heroes. I sourced this bit when I updated the Barbarian Heroes entry, and I recall seven Heroes were mentioned - I cited them all from Hrun the Barbarian (whose motivation for becoming a Sergeant of the Guard, (location unspecified) was that it was "a job with a pension" ) onward - but, apologies, I don't recall Herrena being one of them. BTW, I know there is a passing reference to her unwinding in a quiet pub with Red Scharron over a glass of something sweet and sticky and a game of canasta - can't recall the book? --AgProv 10:34, 5 June 2007 (CEST)
Got it, it's Eric, of course!--AgProv 12:20, 5 June 2007 (CEST)
