Talk:Book:Thief of Time/Annotations
"(It is also very clearly a reference to motoring journalist Jeremy Clarkson, and shame on you for not noticing.)"
Ah-ha, but I indeed have... see here for the discussion. I was mystified as to the connection between extravert insensitive boy racer Clarkson and the extremely introvert and perhaps even autistic Jeremy Clockson - two complete opposites sharing a name? --AgProv 11:49, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Re: page numbers. The form was to list them by page numbers of the the original HC edition. This is a bit difficult for many who don't have an original Doubleday or Gollancz, so they're often omitted. My recurring problem with annotations is that no one follows any rules about placement and there is no constraint on the content. --Old Dickens 12:31, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- Feel free to shoot this idea down, but are there any laws, rules or moral objections to copying items from the annotated pratchett file? Thanks for your time.--Beligaronia 21:15, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, the APF is published already, right here in LSpace, so there's no point in re-hashing it in the wiki. The idea of annotation pages was to collect material for Leo to pick through to go into the APF. I think Sanity posted a note somewhere not to copy from the APF, but I forget where, now. I believe Leo is still working on a new APF; it's the timeline I wonder about. It's about two years since we held off on constructing a timeline because Orin Thomas and Esmi were updating the original, but there's still nothing. --Old Dickens 22:12, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Oh yes, see Annotations. --Old Dickens 23:27, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Clockson / Cornelius? Not convinced.
So, in the spirit of winnowing down annotations that might be a stretch... I don't see the Jeremy Clockson / Jerry Cornelius connection. I mean, I wouldn't complain about having this discussion placed on the talk page, in case someone can flesh this out more thoroughly. But as it stands, this seems quite a reach.
Any objections if I were to move it here? I can't figure out who wrote that part originally, because it seems to date from the time before the Wave... Moishe Rosenbaum (talk) 04:13, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
- It seems to me to hang together as well as the average annotation, and it's on the proper page. --Old Dickens (talk) 04:22, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
