About that "nee Petty"... I don't remember William's last name being indicated. Witches - Amber seems to be a born witch - are matrilineal regarding names. So, just Amber Petty. Right? (Please tell me if I'm missing something! Moishe Rosenbaum (talk) 00:30, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
- A vexed question: we don't know if Amber follows that witchy tradition, or even if she considers herself a witch. However, since we don't have a married name to precede it the née doesn't seem useful. --Old Dickens (talk) 00:42, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
- William's name should be Taylor, surely? --Old Dickens (talk) 01:06, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
- Well, given Lancre tradition with Baker the Weaver and Thatcher the Carter... could just as easily be William Shoemaker who is a Tailor, or perhaps in more modern times, William Clacksoperator?Moishe Rosenbaum (talk) 02:04, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
- These are not Lancrastian characters, though. --Old Dickens (talk) 04:07, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
- Ah. Um, that is an excellent point, one that I will rebut thusly... no, you're probably right here. :-) Moishe Rosenbaum (talk) 05:10, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
