Is the phrase "It's coming through the wall!" the almost-last words of an H.P. Lovecraft story? This would therefore add an extra level of humorous reference to Mort's plight...--AgProv 13:10, 14 April 2011 (CEST)

A tantalising reference that defies Google. Lovecraft does seem to have fancied walls as images, but no such exact quote. The Berlin wall didn't fall until 1989 (Mort: 1987) although some came through previously. It reminds me of some horror movie or story, too, but I can't find it. Maybe just the Pratchett genius for analysis and synthesis of tropes? --Old Dickens 06:32, 16 April 2011 (CEST)
