This is the Palace employee who tends the ornamental trout pool designed by Bloody Stupid Johnson. His duties are not onerous and involve a portable camp-stool and a net. Every time the trout swims to the end of its long and above all, thin, run, his duty is to catch it in a net and physically turn it so that it can swim back to the other end. It has been calculated that he has to perform this duty forty-eight and a half times a day, although he notes neither man nor fish is getting any younger and both are slowing down a bit.
