Talk:Agnes Nutter
Pendle Hill - 557m
A fairly esoteric (so much nicer than geeky) debate has developed over the size of Agnes's explosion, using, again, the annotation section as a talk page.
I think Mssrs Pratchett and Gaiman would be "familiar with the geography of the area", being educated and
observant fellows who lived there. The possibility exists that they didn't care, being writers of fantasy, but
are they wrong?
Given a fair line of sight from Pendle Hill to southwestern parts of Halifax it seems possible that someone who
happened to be looking in the right direction at the right moment could see a plume of smoke in the direction of Nelson and Barley. Who might have recorded this observation for posterity is another question, but of course the writer(s) is(are) omniscient and can vouch for it himself/themselves.
Unfortunately, I find disagreement between topographical maps. We need Brother AgProv to drive over there and survey. --Old Dickens (talk) 01:12, 2 June 2019 (UTC)
