Azhural N'choate is a stock dealer working in the heartlands of Klatch. He and his assistant M'Bu (well, pretty much just M'Bu) mastermind a plan to deliver a thousand elephants to a Mr. C.M.O.T. Dibbler of Ankh-Morpork.
Azhural has no sons, so decided that he was going to leave the business to his assistant. His instincts (or lack of choice) were good, because M'Bu proves himself to be much more than handy with a bush and shovel.
The mistake Azhural made was to gather a thousand elephants and march them a thousand miles, on the promise of Cash On Delivery. Holy Wood had collapsed in on itself by the time they arrived at the gates of Ankh-Morpork. Also by this time Dibbler was back to selling sausage-in-a-bun, so one assumes that the elephants could not be paid for.
Annotations
While searching his mind for an inspiration speech to motivate his wranglers, Holy Wood provides one for him - He almost manages a quote from The Blues Brothers, but the Holy Wood magic doesn't quite have the strength to provide him with the whole thing.
His surname is a typically Pratchettish double-edged one. On Roundworld at least, N' or just N is a common phonemic start to many West African names so it seems to fit. However, the English word Inchoate means "Just begun and so not fully formed or developed; rudimentary; vague".
