Treatle was, in the events of Equal Rites, Vice Chancellor of Unseen University (a now vacant office) and a mage of the Ancient and Truly Original Brothers of the Silver Star. He had long, bushy eyebrows, a nicotine-stained Patriarchal beard, spangly robes and curly-toed boots. All in all a Wizard's Wizard.
He was responsible for bringing Simon to UU.
