Cryptopher was one of the vampyres who attempted to invade [[Lancre]] with Count [[Bela de Magpyr]] and his family. He was hit by Holy Water thrown by an exuberant [[Igor]] and tumbled burning into Lancre Gorge. Presumably, then, is still differently-alive somewhere, or is still a lump of ashes in the bottom of the gorge until someone's blood touches him. His "death" was the first sign that the Magpyr's training was not fully effective, or possibly not even partly. The Count said that he simply allowed himself to be affected by the holy water.
