down to me, I guess: I conflated the name Remora as being female ("-a" ending) with its piscine characteristic of biting, holding on, and living life as a parasite. (ie, unsuitably grabby wife). So if when you play that far into the game Remora turns out to be male, and who am I to doubt it.... edit made. Damn. I liked that association.
