Mr. Schwarzlache von Morecombe
It is entirely possible that a subtle joke is going on here. The town of Morecombe is a holiday resort, some might say the Last Resort, in the North-West of England. A little way to the south on the Irish Sea coast is another holiday resort, Blackpool, famed for its essential in-your-face tackiness and its cheap-and-cheerful attitude to holiday-making.
A loose translation of the Überwaldean Schwarzlache might be Black Lake, making this lawyer's name Mr. Blackpool out of Morecombe.
