Johnny Maxwell's friend, who is the exact opposite of an ethnic stereotype. He can't rap, can't dance, has absolutely nil interest in hip-hop, roots, soul or reggae music, and has never said "Yo, dude!" in his life.
He is, however, interested in brass band music, and it is a happy day for him when the Grimethorpe Colliery Band release a new album. People look at him and suspect he's doing it on purpose.
He has a firm friendship with Bigmac, an equally non-stereotypical (and asthmatic) skinhead in combat fatigues and Doc Marten boots. Following a disagreement at home, Bigmac is taken in by Yo-less's mother, a nurse by vocation and source of Yo-less's grave pronouncements on health and mental stability.
