Note on dating: In addition to the default assumption that the books were published in narrative order unless there's good evidence to the contrary, the one hint to the dating of Sourcery is Wuffles' age. We know that he is 16 in The Truth, which is (we assume) at the start of 1990, and therefore he was born in 1973. Since he's not a puppy in Sourcery, we have to reckon he's at least a year old. This would make him 12 at his next appearance, in Guards! Guards!, where he is described as "elderly." Solicitr 17:03, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Yuck! Nothing is easy. In Sourcery, Wuffles is already described as "exceedingly elderly." Bother!

Is there any particular reason the DWTL set Sourcery so early? Why can't it occur in, say, 1984? Solicitr 14:16, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
