The Abominable Snow Baby is a 25 minute animated feature based on the short story of the same name by Terry Pratchett. The short was a co-production between Narrativia and Eagle Eye Drama. It was shown on Channel 4 on Christmas Day 2021.
Plot
The town of Blackbury in Gritshire is covered by a heavy blizzard overnight. Albert Scruggins and his Granny discover an Abominable Snowman first seen by Mr Tanwar. When the creature turns out to be a baby, Granny takes it home as a pet. Days later the Snow Baby's mother turns up in Blackbury and takes the Snow Baby and Granny to Even Moor. Albert pursues but finds Granny helping the Snow Woman put the Snow Baby to sleep. On Christmas morning the town wakes to find all the snow built into a giant snow statue of Granny. Granny and Albert wave as the Snow Woman and Snow Baby depart.
