Every prudently run pub has one, stored discreetly and kept within easy reach, to smooth over those unfortunate moments that can happen later on in the evening. Usually made of blackthorn or some other particularly dense wood. The example kept under the counter in Biers is quite possibly unique: steeped in garlic oil (for vampires), studded in silver (for werewolves) and wrapped in strips of blanket (for bogeymen), it is an example of hedging one's bets on a grand scale.
