Bay of Mante

The location of a famous shipwreck, the Bay of Mante was located near the Rim and on the opposite side of the Disc from TinLing.

It is first mentioned in Mort, as the site of a famous shipwreck. At least, it would have been a famous shipwreck if Death could ever find the place.

The second mention occurs in The Last Hero. The Maria Pesto was blown over the Rim by a terrible storm here, however it ended up orbiting the Disc until crashing on a reef in TinLing. This incident is mentioned as the only precedent for Leonard of Quirm's design of the Kite. Presumably, this shipwreck is the same as the one mentioned in Mort, but that does depend on whether Death ever did find the place.
