Body Street

Body Street runs on the Isle of Gods from Holofernes Street and the Rim Bank to the more hubwise of two swing bridges over the Cut. It runs behind the Tanty, the city's main prison: as in the old days, the unclaimed corspses of executed criminals and people dying in prison could legitimately be bought for dissection and medical research (and the University is just the other side of New Bridge), then the name of the street acquires sinister overtones.
