Bakers' Guild
This guild is based on Baker Street, at the Crust Hall. As might be expected. It offers excellent training in all aspects of bread, cake, and pastry making and preferential prices for farinaceous raw ingredients. The high spot of the Guild's year is the Annual Figgin Bake-Off, an event serving to raise charitable contributions to the Guild's Benevolent Fund. Surplud figgins are traditionally donated to old peoples' homes. Cynical observers might suspect a trade-off between the bakers and the Assciation of Dental Technicians, as they follow on a week or two later making necessary repairs and adjustments. It is possible that makers of Dwarf Bread are, at least, associate members. The Guild President at the time of publication of The Compleat Ankh-Morpork is Rudolf Potts.
