Talk:Clinkerbelle
Did he really take their diamond teeth? I thought ha just broke in and stole stuff. When asked if they left it under their pillow he replied "bless em". Or did he steal as a sideline?--Beligaronia 10:02, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
The way in which the character is introduced (looking friendless and alone in between two large troll constables and facing the amused disbelief of a Sergeant) suggests that it isn't so much the burning need to introduce a Tooth Fairy to Troll culture, as associated charges of Breaking and Entering, that have drawn the attention of the Watch. Technically speaking, legitimate Tooth Fairies have to enter the household by means other than the front door, surreptitiously, in the dead of night, but it could be argued that an informal contract exists between them and the householders permitting them to do so. Otherwise, Violet and the girls would all be in the Tanty for B&E... Clinkerbelle, by inference, must have been up to more than just mere teeth for the Watch to step in.
Doesn't Ernie the tooth-cart driver, or his line manager when pressed by Susan, have something to say about a girl who over-stepped the mark in this respect, and caused them no end of bother? --AgProv 12:01, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
