Goriff

The Goriff famility run a Klatchian take-away called Mundane Meals in Scandal Alley, Ankh-Morpork.

During the events of Jingo, the take-away was attacked, and (ineffectually) fire-bombed in the anti-Klatchian hysteria following the dispute over Leshp. Sam Vimes gave them temporary accomodation and protection at Pseudopolis Yard, but when it became clear that there was going to be a war The Goriffs left with other Klatchians, possibly warned by Vimes that Lord Rust had tried to give orders that all Klatcnians be deported. The family had been living in Ankh-Morpork for 10 years at this point.

The family consists of Mr and Mrs Goriff, and their thirteen year-old son Janil who was conscipted into the Klatchian Army on their return to Klatch. When the family later returned to Ankh Morpork, Janil stayed in Klatch with Mr Goriff's brother, with the intention of joining the Watch there.
