Scrote Sprout
In Mrs Bradshaw's Handbook, we learn about the Scrote Sprout, a form of brassica which is exclusively grown in the region around Scrote and which is prized for its hardness, general inedibility, and the fact it remains rock-hard even after three hours' boiling. One school of thought is that it gets harder when boiled. Its principal use is as slingshot-ammunition in the continual unrelenting war of farmer versus predatory bird-life, a usage which has attracted speculative interest by the Dwarfs who see it as a useful adjunct to baked bread produce.
