megahertz - to do with radio transmissions.

Back in the olden days, megahertz also measured CPU speed (33 MHz = 33 million operations per second). Now it's all gigahertz or gigaflops or gigaflips or whatever, but 33 MHz was a common computer speed way back when. Kellyterryjones 21:52, 10 December 2007 (CET)
