This is a group of highly respectable amateur artists, right, who meet on a couple of weekday evenings in a rented room in Elm Street to contemplate some of the challenges involved in making a representation of the complex curves of a three-dimensional object on a two-dimensional sheet of paper or canvas, with proper care and attention paid to perspective and highlighting/shading effects.
It isn't just about gathering your easels in a circle around some naked bird reclining on a couch, with or without inadequately long piece of gauze or an urn, let us make that clear now! I mean, some of those brushes have actually got paint on the end! And stop sniggering, right, if it was good enough for the old masters whose stuff is hanging on the wall at the Royal Art Museum, right, then it's good enough for us!
