POTUS

Just querying whether we want to to leave this "definition" in. Although it is absolutely hilarious, I believe Terry Pratchett was referring to the Greek word "phos" (Latinized a bit for his purposes) that actually does mean light, i.e. photographer-taking pictures with light. This quoted definition is more likely a stab at real world photographers who do tend to "prance about like they own the place". So while POTUS does indeed own the place it possibly was not intended. On the whole we could probably leave it in. any thoughts?--Beligaronia 07:17, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Pretty much my thought last night: irrelevant but amusing. --Old Dickens 14:08, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, we're all about original research, but it needs to be better than that. --Old Dickens 22:36, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Then again, a fundamental atomic particle such as the photon is perfectly capable of getting quantum physicists tangled up in their own superstrings... as it can be both a wave and a particle depending on whim and is the root cause, therefore, of the Uncertainty Principle. You wonder if the humble photon, once being observed in a physics lab, sniggers to itself, decides to confuse them, and does indeed collude with its fellows to "prance about like they own the place". --AgProv 13:09, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

AgProv's been talking to the pot plant again... --Old Dickens 14:25, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

(Artwork by Jen Babcock who'd quite like you to go to [1] and bump up reader numbers for the series, as part of the plan to get her cartoon to print syndication.) In the meantime appreciate the comment on talking to the plans, or hedge magic! --AgProv 20:35, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
