Of the Twilight the Darkness is a goblin who appears in Book:Raising Steam. In the previous book Thud! goblins finally gained human rights, demonstrating a gift for music and artistry (see Tears of the Mushroom) as well as an aptitude for clacks-tower mechanics. In this subsequent book, goblins show an aptitude for the mechanics of steam engines. Of the Twilight the Darkness is first among goblins in the steam-engine industry.
