Marrowbone appears to be a sub-district of the Shades just Hubwards of Chittling Street. It connects to Chittling Street via the interestingly named Cloaca Yard and Oxpens, and to Elm street at its Turnwise end via Ewer Place and Horsemonger Road. As many of the street names have interestingly meat-related associations, Marrowbone would appear to be a secondary butchering district after the Shambles.
Interesting local businesses include
- Jeremy Extispicy, Clairvoyant and Sausage Maker, at no. 7a.
- The Long Bones, a local pub and informal Guild House of the Ratcatchers' Guild.
