Listed under Short Stories because it qualifies as short and has nowhere else to go, Medical Notes is, in fact, just that. It is a series of short descriptions of ailments more often seen on, if not peculiar to, the Discworld - and in particular Ankh-Morpork - supplied by Dr Peristyle Slack, of the Ankh-Morpork Guild of Barber-Surgeons.
These include:
- Attention Surplus Syndrome
- Florabundi's Syndrome
- Annoia, Or Paranoia Inversa (not to be confused with Anoia)
- Planets
- Scroopism
- Signitus, and
- Bursaritis (Chronic Con-tinence)
This not-a-short-story-at-all was provided for the programme book of the 2002 Discworld Convention and has been collected in both Once More* *with Footnotes and A Blink of the Screen.
