Herne is the god of small furry animals that are destined to end their lives as a small damp squeak. A god gains power through the strength of the believers' believing, and there are always small furry animals at the last minutes in their lives, running and praying. Herne is a god and therefore has no one to pray to, so when he is hunted, he has to resort to some other tactics (see Lords and Ladies).
Herne is three feet tall with rabbit ears and small horns. He runs very fast.
Annotations
He is obviously a reference to Roundworld's Herne the Hunter.
His description reminds of a Rasselbock, a creature supposed to dwell in some remote regions of Thuringia.
