Professor Of The Leaf The Storm is listed in The Compleat Ankh-Morpork as Emeritus Professor of Goblin Studies at Unseen University. It is hinted that he is a relatively recent appointment. His species is not made clear: he could be a human Wizard who has so identified with his area of study that he claimed, or was bestowed, a Goblin name. Or he might even be a goblin, making him the only (obviously) non-human academic at the University. He is not known to be a Faculty member. In context, his appointment might have been a result of an affirmative hiring process similar to the one forced on the Ankh-Morpork City Watch by Lord Vetinari, following the events of Snuff. He is certainly hailed as a success by the militant pressure group, the League of Goblin Friends.
