	:The first reference to it I can find is in {{MAA}}, in which it is rung by Dr Cruces to assemble the Guild Council. I looked thought a few others and couldn’t find any other mentions in the novels, not even in {{P}}, {{H}} or {{NW}}. This tradition seems to have been invented for the tour of the Guild given in the Assassin’s Guild Diary, as reproduced in {{AMAV1}}, which was incorporated into later editions of the Companion (specifically {{TR}} and {UDC}}). It says ~~it’s~~ rung on the successful completion of an assignment, or the death of an old pupil.
